reCrib is the online marketplace for the best gently used kids gear. Give it a try!
How does reCrib make money?
Good question! In exchange for providing a safe marketplace, with qualified buyers and sellers, reCrib charges a 20% commission for every item sold. This commission is automatically deducted from the sale, so you don’t need to do a thing. We don’t get paid unless you have success selling your item. You have nothing to loose!
Secure, cash-free payments
There's no need for cash to exchange hands. The entire payment process is done securely online after a buyer receives and is satisfied with their item.
How do I sell an item?
Selling is super easy. All you have to do is click on “sell”, and fill out the form. It’s really simple! Tip: by filling out as many details as possible, you’ll make it easier for buyers to make an informed purchase.
How do I buy an item?
First, do a search for a specific item, or browse the site until you find what you’d like to purchase. Second, click on “details”. Third, click on “Buy Now. Here you will be asked to enter your credit card information, and your card will be pre-authorized. You will not be charged until the seller confirms that the item is still available. One very important thing to remember, is that after your card is charged, we hold the money in escrow until you let us know that you have received the item and are satisfied. If for some reason you are not satisfied, simply return the item, and your credit card will be refunded, no questions asked.
How do I get my item?
It’s up to you and the seller to decide how you are going to get your purchase. We recommend you use our delivery partner, TaskRabbit if you live in Atlanta, Austin, Boston, Chicago, Dallas, Houston, Los Angeles/OrangeCounty, New York City, Philadelphia, Portland, San Antonio, Seattle, San Francisco/Bay Area, Washington DC. There is a link on each item page, where you can easily set up a task, for a small fee. We are always here to help you set this up as well.
What if the item I’m purchasing is defective?
We encourage anyone purchasing an item to go and check it out before buying it. At the same time, we hope that everyone listing items are truthful when describing the condition of the items they are posting.
How soon does my listing expire?
A listing stays up on reCrib for 30 Days. Two days before it expires, we will send you an email asking if you’d like to it to stay up for another 30 days.
How do I take my post down after I sell my item?
Go to “my dashboard”, click on “selling”, and under “actions” you will see “edit/de-list”. This way you can relist if you need.
Why isn’t there a car seat category on reCrib?
Car seats are designed to be in an accident one time – similar to a bike helmet. By examining a car seat, it’s often difficult to tell if the interior structure of the car seat has been compromised. Safety is our number one goal, therefore we don’t want to take any chances, by allowing a car seat on the site that might not be in perfect condition.
