Both of my kids have slept in this crib. We have a super modern house in the hills and it fit in perfectly.There is a change table attached and two storage drawers underneath. It has two height adjustments…one for a newborn and one for a toddler. it also converts to a toddler bed if you choose to buy the kit.I have an organic mattress that i bought at Target but you may choose to buy a new one. Instructions are included. they are teething marks on the rail but if you turn it around so that side faces the wall you won't notice it. I paid 2200 dollars for it in 2010
